Inclusion, Diversity and Equity at the Trulaske College of Business

Making Our House a Home

Building on the philosophy embraced by the University of Missouri, the inclusion, diversity and equity (IDE) philosophy at Trulaske can be summarized in single vision: “Making Our House A Home.” This vision informs how the faculty, staff and students of the college conduct business, interact and treat those around us.

At Trulaske, this home focuses on inclusion, making family members (students, faculty, staff, alumni, and visitors) feel valued, and inspiring all to strive for excellence every day.

Members of the college community actively seek opportunities to share their rich backgrounds, special abilities and the myriad experiences in their lives. They strive to lead the way in business education by providing an engaging environment filled with opportunities to innovate and help redefine business for decades to come.

To ensure inclusion, diversity and equity in the college, we focus on three key areas:

Recruitment: Identify additional recruitment pipelines to deepen and broaden the pool of minority, underrepresented and/or under-resourced students, faculty and staff at the Trulaske College of Business.

Culture & Retention: Foster a culture of inclusion between Trulaske faculty, staff and students through IDE programming, education, engagement opportunities and increased partnerships with key external and internal stakeholders.

Enrichment & Growth: Enhance enrichment opportunities to maximize student success, with a focus on utilizing funded programs to provide equitable resources for the underrepresented, under-resourced and minority populations.
