Before the role of Senior IDE Coordinator, Tiefenthaler served as a Senior Academic Advisor for the Trulaske College of Business Undergraduate Advising Office, guiding more than 350 business students, including Vasey Academy Scholars, through course selection and degree completion. She served as the point person for student access to resources for unanswered questions, navigating campus, policies, and resource offices. Along with her duties as an advisor, Tiefenthaler supervised 8 to 10 Work-Study students in the Advising office, developed and revised their training material, and advocated for their recognition in different awards across the department. She oversaw the student involvement program called Business Week and its production.

Outside of Tiefenthaler's time at Cornell, you can see her caring for her family, running, and crafting. She is a wife to her high school sweetheart Ryan and a mother to a tiny human named Avery. Her life goal is to run a half-marathon in all 50 states. She has completed races in three states and has done five half marathons to date. With more than ten years of crocheting experience, Tiefenthaler loves to design custom shaws and blankets for family and friends.
